Abbott Immunology has a long-term commitment to rheumatology and is extremely proud of the Abbott Scholar Award in Rheumatology Research. The recently announced winners for 2007, chosen at the 2006 selection meeting, represent the final group of Abbott Scholars. The end of the current funding round, in 2010, will mark a 10-year investment by Abbott to the Abbott Scholar Award in Rheumatology Research. In this time, 18 scholars will have received more than $3.8 in funding for relevant research into rheumatic diseases.
