Andrea Sestak received both an MD and a PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American College of Rheumatology.
Dr Sestak has published several articles in various journals such as Arthritis and Rheumatism, the Journal of Rheumatology, and the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
Project title: Identification of the Early Onset SLE Gene on 17p13
Dr Sestak is attempting to identify a gene involved in the development of lupus. She is examining a number of candidate genes in a genetic region linked to the disease.
